Spotting and Stopping Abuse of Older People

In support of Elder Abuse Day, Hourglass (the only UK-wide charity dedicated to calling time on the harm and abuse of older people) are delivering an online session for professionals on “Spotting and Stopping Abuse of Older People”. 

When: Thursday 13th June 2024, 2 – 2:45pm

Where: Microsoft Teams

The session will cover:

  • An overview of the abuse of older people
  • The prevalence of abuse of older people
  • Some of the signs that someone may be experiencing abuse
  • Why abuse of older people might go unreported
  • What we can do to stop abuse of older people
  • What Hourglass can do to help.

Requesting a Place:

If you would like to request a place, please complete the form below – one form per person is required. A Teams Invite will be sent to you in advance of the session.

Existing Users: If you have used the website before to apply for a place then you will have an existing user account.  Please select the log-in option at the top of the form to request a place before completing all the fields, otherwise you will be unable to submit the form when you get to the end.

New Users: If this is the first time you have requested a place on training/ events via our website then please complete the form to request a place. You will receive an email from ‘WordPress’ which will explain how to set up your password to enable you to access your account in the future. (The email may appear in your junk folder).  Please do not use a generic email address – accounts should be set up using an individual email.
